Using the marvelous technology and infinite knowledge of the internet I have built websites for cafes, hotels etc, started this blog and grew it to the point that it pays for my travel expenses around the world in less than a year, got my articles on the first page of google and have been featured in magazines and so many other great things. So now I want to share the free and very few paid courses and resources that helped me do this!
Knowledge isn’t power, it’s only potential power. Execution of that knowledge is true power!
I believe that college degrees are overrated most of the time, in not all but most fields. Many people graduate after years of studying, investing their time, taking on a lot of debt and still can’t get a job. While on the other hand, so many people like me without degrees work doing what they love just because they have the exact skills that the market wants and they can bring value to others. So here are my favorite sites and courses that will help you be the latter.
How To Learn Online For Free
1. Coursera – Free Courses With Certifications
With huge universities like Stanford, Duke and John Hopkins hosting their courses, Coursera.org is extremely useful if you’re looking to study many different topics, or want courses from different schools and groups. I find Coursera very useful if I want to learn the fundamentals and theoretical part of different fields, it’s not the best for practical (Take-action-now) knowledge but great for fundamentals.

- Search Engine Optimization (SEO) Specialization
- Social Media Marketing Specialization

Audiobooks are a new thing I got into recently, and I can’t recommend them enough! They are so useful to listen to during long bus rides or while at the gym etc! I mainly use Audible by Amazon to buy my audiobooks! I got into it after I tried the Audible free trial & got 2 free Audible audiobooks and I’ve been hooked since!

6. Google
Google, yes google can teach you so much! There’re so many blogs that you can come across if you are willing to spend a little time blogging and browsing on the internet.
The next time you want to do anything, whether it to make more money or improve your relationship with your rebellious teenage kid, open the “secret” site, google.com and type “How do I ____?” with your goal in the blank, actually do research on how people before you did something, learn what’s necessary and execute. I have seen this simple idea, absolutely change people’s lives.?
Here’re a few cool blogs I like with interesting articles to learn different skills.
Moz Blog: learn Online Marketing
Bid4Papers: Learn To Write Better as a Students
Vengage: Learn How To Market Better with Infographics
Wait Buy Why: Learn….umm…everything?
7. Youtube
After Google, the biggest search engine in the world is Youtube so if you want to learn something basic for free you might actually be able to find a video about it on youtube!
I very picky with the YouTubers I follow but here are some YouTubers that have brought me a ton of value:
8. Codecademy
Always wanted to learn how to code or program, well here’s how you can do that for FREE! The courses at Codecademy are well written and easy to follow and the website is organized very nicely. The interface includes a live practice window. This means you can practice coding while still viewing the lesson material.
9. DOING
There comes a point when you have to stop reading 100s of books and taking 1000s of courses and just do! Think, test, execute, see what works, do more of that, see what isn’t working and stop doing that. I learn best by actually doing. You can read about climbing mountains but if you never leave the comfort of your house and actually start climbing you will never reach the top, so here’s my final plea!
