How do Authors on Kindle Unlimited Get Compensated?
In a time when Artistic Compensation is such a big issue, how do authors do when you read their books on kindle unlimited? Do they get paid or does Amazon exploit them?
Well, according to the most recent payout numbers, Amazon Unlimited pay between $0.004 to $0.005 per 187 words (a page according to Amazon). So if you read a 1000 pages by an author, he/she gets about $5.
That doesn’t sound like much which is why you’re unlikely you find a Stephen King book in Kindle Unlimited, however for authors just getting started out, it’s a great idea as it exposes them to a large number of Amazon Unlimited users.
